1.1 What type of floors can DEEBOT M82 clean?
DEEBOT M82 is capable of cleaning nearly all types of floors including bare floors and short-pile carpet. DM82 is not suitable for use on long-pile or shag carpet.
1.2 Can DEEBOT M82 really clean under my furniture?
DEEBOT M82's low-profile design gives it the ability to clean under furniture with an 8cm/3.15” clearance without complications.
1.3 What does DM82 do if it meets obstacles, like furniture?
DM82 has an active obstacle detection system to help it avoid contact your furniture, walls and household items.10 groups of Anti-Collision Sensors are on-board the robot. When the sensors detect an obstacle, a signal will be sent to DM82’s “brain” to slow down, change direction and select a new cleaning path. If the object is very low to the ground, 1.5” or smaller in height, DEEBOT may gently touch the obstacle with its mechanical cushion bumper before turning around.
1.4 Can DEEBOT M82 transition between different floor types and move over the doorsills in my house?
Yes. DEEBOT M82 transitions between different floor types and easily crosses doorsills as high as 1.5cm/0.59”.
1.5 DEEBOT M82 is not cleaning along edges and in corners thoroughly. What should I do?
Please choose Edge Cleaning Mode to clean along edges and in corners effectively.
1.6 Where should I place the Charging Dock so DEEBOT M82 can easily find it?
The Charging Dock should be plugged in and placed against a wall. Place the Charging Dock on a level floor surface with the base perpendicular to the ground. Keep the immediate area 2.0m /6.5’ in front of the charger and 1.0m /3.3’ at both sides of the Charging Dock clear of objects and reflective surfaces that may interfere with the infrared receiver.
1.7 Is it dangerous to touch DEEBOT M82’s Charging Contacts or Charging Pins on the Charging Dock?
No. The maximum output DC voltage is within the safe range for the human body.
1.8 Why does DEEBOT M82 spill dust when I move the robot manually?
If dust is spilling when you move DEEBOT M82 by hand, the Dust Bin is probably too full. The Dust Bin should be emptied regularly for best cleaning performance. When moving DEEBOT M82 manually, please lift the robot with both hands and keep the end marked with “DEEBOT” tilted slightly up to avoid spillage.
1.9 What happens if DEEBOT M82's detects a problem during cleaning?
If DEEBOT M82 detects a problem, it emits 1-4 alarm beeps and the AUTO Mode Button glows RED. The problem can be identified by the number of beeps emitted. Please see section 4.5 in the DEEBOT M82 Instruction Manual for alarm identification and solution.
1.10 Can DEEBOT M82 be used to vacuum up water?
No. Do not allow DEEBOT M82 to vacuum up liquid as it will damage the unit.
1.11 What should be done if DEEBOT M82 accidentally vacuums up liquid?
Turn DEEBOT M82 OFF immediately. Remove the Dust Bin, Filters, Main Brush and allow them to dry completely before reinstalling them. If the robot does not function normally after taking these steps, please contact Customer Service.
1.12 DEEBOT M82 will not charge. What should I do?
1. Make sure DEEBOT M82’s Side Power Switch is ON.
2. Make sure the Charging Dock is plugged in and the robot’s Charging Contacts have made a connection with the Charging Dock Pins on the Charging Dock.

1.13 Why aren't the Main Brush and/or Side Brushes rotating when DEEBOT M82 is cleaning?
The Main Brush and/or Side Brushes may be tangled with hair or debris.
1. Power OFF the robot and turn it over.
2. Push the two tabs on the Main Brush Cover to remove it. Remove the Main Brush. Use the Cleaning Tool to cut off and remove any hair tangled around the Main Brush. The Main Brush can be rinsed under water however should be dried completely before it is reinstalled.
3. Remove the Side Brushes with a small screwdriver. Wipe the Side Brushes and their slots with a dry cloth and reinstall.
1.14 Why does DEEBOT M82 move around in circles and backwards after starting up?
1. The Anti-Drop Sensors on the bottom of DEEBOT M82 may be covered with dust. Wipe the Anti-Drop Sensors with the brush side of the provided Cleaning Tool to maintain their effectiveness.
2. The Driving Wheels may be tangled with hair or debris. Use the provided Cleaning Tool to cut off and remove any hair/debris tangled around the Driving Wheels.
3. The mechanical bumper rail may be stuck. Press each side of the mechanical bumper rail to see if it rebounds automatically.

1.15 DEEBOT M82 is cleaning with a louder noise and/or lower suction than normal. What should I do?
The Dust Bin may be full, the suction intake may be blocked, or the Main Brush/Side Brushes may be tangled with dirt and debris. Regular maintenance is important to maintain peak cleaning performance.
1. Turn OFF the Side Power Switch.
2. Remove and empty the Dust Bin, then reinstall.
3. Turn the robot over. Remove and clean the Main Brush as described in 1.14. Reinstall the Main Brush.
4. Remove the Side Brushes with a small screwdriver. Wipe the Side Brushes and their slots with a dry cloth and reinstall.
5. Power ON and restart.
1.16 DEEBOT M82 cleans for a short period of time then returns to the Charging Dock. What is wrong?
1. Working time varies according to floor surface, room complexity and the selected Cleaning Mode.
2. If the robot’s battery is fully discharged or has not used for a long time, its capacity may have decreased and need to be reactivated. To reactivate the battery: Place the robot on the Charging Dock by hand, remove after charging for 3 minutes; repeat 3 times, then charge normally for 3-5 hours.
3. DM82 uses a long-life battery, and does not require frequent replacement. However, cleaning time is shortened when the battery reaches the end of its service life. Replace the battery.

1.17 DEEBOT M82 did not clean automatically at the scheduled time. What should I do?
1. Ensure the robot’s Side Power Switch is ON.
2. Ensure the robot is charged.
3. The scheduled cleaning time may not have been programmed correctly or was cancelled. Set the scheduled cleaning time again making sure it is saved.

1.18 DEEBOT M82 did not detect a drop off, like stairs. What should I do?
DEEBOT DM82’s Anti-Drop Sensors may be too dirty. Wipe the Anti-Drop Sensors with the Cleaning Tool to maintain their effectiveness.

1.19 Why does dirt from DEEBOT M82's Dust Bin leak out?
There is too much dirt in the Dust Bin. Please empty the Dust Bin regularly for best performance.
1.20 How do I choose the “Single Room” Cleaning Mode?
Press the AUTO Mode Button on the robot twice or the START/PAUSE Button on the Remote Control twice, DM82 starts to clean in Single Room Mode, stops and beeps when and where it completes cleaning.
2.1 What is the effective control range of DEEBOT M82's Remote Control?
The effective control range of the Remote Control is 5m/16’. When using the Remote Control, be sure to point it towards the infrared receiver on the robot, and be within 5m/16’ of the robot.
2.2 Why isn't my Remote Control working?

2. The batteries in the Remote Control may need to be replaced. Replace with new batteries.
3. The robot may be powered OFF or DEEBOT M82’s battery is low.
4. The Infrared Emitter on the Remote Control or the robot’s Infrared Receiver may be dirty. Use a dry cloth or the Cleaning Tool to wipe the Infrared Emitter on Remote Control and the Infrared Receiver on DEEBOT M82.
5. There is equipment interfering with the infrared signal to DEEBOT M82. Avoid using the Remote Control near other equipment that uses infrared signals.

3.1 Can I keep DEEBOT M82 on the Charging Dock for an extended period of time?
Yes. After DEEBOT M82’s batteries are fully charged, the battery management system will reduce electricity to a trickle charge and DEEBOT M82 will not be overcharged. We recommend keeping DEEBOT M82 powered ON and on the Charging Dock so it is ready to clean at any time.
3.3 Will DEEBOT M82 disturb my pet?
Normally, no. DEEBOT M82 works quietly and the noise should not upset your pets. We recommend that you supervise DEEBOT during its first cleaning and assist should there be a problem.
